Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how bonding works. It's funny that I starrted playing Tau the day they became avalible and I've never looked into it, but do to some recent mishaps with moral checkes I"m looking into the bonding. So, how dose it work and is it worth it?
all it does is allows you to regroup when you are under 50% casualties, i myself never take it.

Yeah it is a waste of points imo but the deign looks really cool and so i try to paint it on anyways
THE BOXES ARE BACK!
I'm surprised that you guys find bonding so useless. Its a good way to bring valueable Tau guns back to the frontlines soon, rather then waiting until they reach the end of the board. When combined the rerolling ability of an Ethereal, it is difficult to fully take one of my squads out of the battle short of killing them all off. I bond every squad I can (with the exception of the firewarriors i put with Ethereal since they are fearless). Maybe its just me, but I find bonding to be a must.

Bonging is ok. I put it in games were I know theres going to be alot of casualties off the hop. Aside from that I dont normally bother
i only bond my crisis teams (if i do bond at all) because you dont want one crisis falling off the board, they can really do some damage...one even can take out alot of guys.

I bond when I have the points, but bonding crisis and broadsides (if you have more than 1 broadside in a unit) a must. You don't want those suckers running off the board. Firewarriors, I'm more indifferent to but crisis suits... yeah u gotta.
i bond everything i can, 5 fire warriors are still a threat and having crisis suits run is so embaressing. stealth suits are the most important unit to bond IMO, mine often take a lot of casualties but they still scare people.

If you use drones with your suits you should bond them, or else there is a good chance they will drop under 50 percent just loosing the drones. I was not aware of that rule first and lost my precious broadside because his drone was destroyed.
You have to bond battlesuits because there a big threat to the enemy so if one of your battlesuits are falling back there pretty much dead.
