What is the close combat weapon modeled on the games workshop archon? I know it cant be a scissor hand but i cant find anything in the wargear section of the codex that sounds like it.
I assumed it was a generic power weapon, isn't an Agoniser whippy?
the codex says that they come in a variety of forms, the most common being whips and barbed gauntlets. By being vague, it makes it easier to model/customize.
(WH40K) Dark Eldar - (12,000pts) Sisters of Battle - (5000pts) Dark Angels -(3500pts) (WHFB) Dark Elves - (10,000pts) Beastmen - (5000pts) Empire - (3000pts) Wood Elves - (1500pts)
Commonly they are whips and barbed gauntlets, but they can come in many forms.

I play Vassal. I'm in V40K Open Ladder.
Its an abomination. Just like everyting about that horriblist of horrible models. Just. Don't. Use. It.
On topic slightly,The weapon is basically whatever you say it is, no one else knows the difference anyway! I have a giant sword on my archon that interchanges between a punisher and an agoniser depending on the game played.
I don't know what they were thinking when they made that guy, or for that matter the "dracon" as her weapon selection isn't much better, a big staff?!?!?
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
Yeah, I would count it as whatever you like. Paint it the same colours as your agonisers/power weapons/punishers if you really want but I use generic weapons on all of my Lords.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of that model though.
Kabal of the Twilight Blade - Host of Tecpatl - Salamanders 3rd
What, old Mr Banana Fingers isn't well liked? Oh well.
But beyond being an additional close combat weapon those fruity digits are not described anywhere in the rules.
And as an aside here, the only 'official' agoniser really is the one the Beastmaster has but this really does work for you rather than against as WYSIWYG is impossible to enforce and weapon conversions are as simple as informing your opponent.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
I used that guys hand as a power weapon on a reaver lord - in that pose it looked pretty cool.
As for that archon - I ended up giving him a punisher by using Drazar arms with an incubi punisher.
Maybe I'll post a pic...
