Gauss flux arcs
guys from reserve
I wanted to see how everyone uses thier Monolith. do you prefer deepstrike, or just have it move with your guys? would you fire off the guass flux arcs, and then teleport your guys from cc? move them from reserve in the lith? Or, is the Particle whip just too good to pass up in your opinion. lets all here each others favorite thing your lith does, and how it wins you games!
I personally like to be able to teleport my guys out of cc, fire the flux arcs, then its a debate whether or not i shoot or might as well just charge them

Heh its a rare day when I use the PW. Teleport is king!

In my tournament list I run a Monolith with 12 warriors inside. I would deepstrike it quite rudely onto the table choking off some vital path or point on the battle field or right in the other guys face just generaly obstructing their view and movement. After that, out comes 24 shots from my warriors and d6 shots on anyone within 12'( wich is usually most of their army) from the 'Lith Ouch! I deploy the warriors behind the Monolith to screen assaulters and use the power matrix to beam them out if they do get assaulted. Then repeat.

I usually like to play most games with 1 Lith though when it gets up over 2500 I usually take a second along just to cause fear in my opponents.
I still cant get over the way opponents keep pumping shot after shot into them from Missile launchers and other heavy weapons with little chance of doing damage.It certainly saves my warriors from being in the firing line.
Plus its always fun to use to reroll WBB and see the warriors who previously failed WBB stand up strong again
Ok, having now played Dawn of War deployment again, and I guess I've just been really lucky to avoid that deployment almost ALWAYS. I will always deep strike my monolith in the case of dawn of war (probably not hold troops in reserve), but UGH...not having that 12" deployment zone sux bad!!!

Yeah, DoW is where the teleporty funcion really shines. Paired with an extra squad of warriors, it's really funny...
