I bought myself the battleforce Tau Box, yesterday, and it will be the basis for my force's re-doing.
I am going to use the Crisis Suit, as my HQ choice, as I really don't like the heads of the commander suits. However, down the line, I might just pick up a box or two, just for the new weapons.
Now my question. I would like to make my starting HQ choice, a mobile fire suit. I was thinking of a plasma rifle and a missile pod. Is this good, or should I go for something else?
At the moment, the players at the local GW store, sport a little bit of everything in their forces. Basically, I would like to end up with a force, which can deal with all threats...
Thanks in advance, for all your suggestions/comments/help.
Taking a plasma rifle and missile pod is usually a good choice for a commander XV-8. I suggest you check out the stickies here in the Tau forum. Of particular interest to you in regard to this topic would be rikimaru's guide to XV-8's.

Yeah you should really check that out, I just looked it over again yesterday and it is really well put together and has a ton of information every Tau player should know. As far as your weapon set up goes, that typically what I put on my commander, sometimes a fusion blaster rather than the plasma if I think I'm going to be facing a ton of vehicles.

Imperial Guard = Soviet Army? Me thinks so.
Thank you, for your responses.
Actually, after psoting, I did find myself looking through the "guides". I found them quite useful, and prob will go with plasma rifle and a missile pod...
We shall see.
