Bug assualt bonus clear up and BL

i've been playing 40k for about 2 months and i have a question about the bugs,

what bonuses do guants and gene stealers get from assaulting first

and also my friend had a BL with its retinue of gene stealers that were about 12 inches away in the start of the game and was about to make a first round assault. he says that he had the scout, fleet, infiltrate, and the preferred enemy abilities.

Last question Do the whole brood have to have the same biomorph including gene stealers?

The only bonuses you'll get is the +1 attack on the charge (unless the enemy has defensive grenades). however, if the opponent is in cover, you'll strike last (vice verse if they assault you while you're in cover.).

That's not true. The Broodlord has infiltrate and can buy perferred enemy for himself, his retinue, and all tyranid broods with at least one model within 2" of the creature who bought this ability (it's called feeder tendrils). Genestealers themselves have fleet, and can purchase scouts, but since the Broodlord doesn't have either, the squad cannot benefit from them.

Last question Do the whole brood have to have the same biomorph including gene stealers?
    I hope that helps.
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure you're friend is probably just mistaken.

It depends on the brood. Genestealers, rippers, gaunts, gargoyles, and hormagaunts MUST all have the same biomorphs within each brood. for example, you cannot buy just one genestealer scything talons.

ok last question most likely until i play against the bugs again.

Which bugs get the +1 attack bonus from having two weapons,
two of the same special weapon,
and a normal and a special weapon.

No tyranids get +1 attack for having two close combat weapons. However, Scything Talons give you +1 attack. For example, if you have a warrior with 1 pair of scything talons and 1 pair of rending claws, it will have +1 attack and rending. On the other hand, if you have a warrior with two pairs of scything talons, it will have +2 attacks. This applies to every Tyranid creature. Models equipped base with a pair of scything talons will state in their entry exactly how it effects their profile.

If all else fails, ask to see his codex. That would help clear up many questions. Another important biomorph to look up is flesh hooks. They act as grenades in assault and helps mitigate some terrain issues.

A small detail but the Brood Lord but he does not have fleet. (I personally hope they change this with a codex update since it does limit movement somewhat.)
