Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've been doing some minor conversions but I need a little bit of help on my bikers. I'm converting them from deffkoptas. It's proving relatively easy, except for the axel for the front wheels. I couldn't really find anything too helpful in the modeling section. I just can't really seem to get anything to turn out quite right. Just looking for a little bit of advice on how to make the axels look half decent.
Have you tried using the plastic sprues?
They can be cut and filed to look like metal bars for the wheel struts,
and if you have any extra fuel tanks (from IG flamers) you could cut those into round sections and then green stuff the rest.

I used the kopta blades. They have some really nice spiky bits already on them. They look great. Just make sure you turn them so that the spikes are pointed up.
One trick I did use involves the hole in the tires, wheels, chamirea axels or what ever else you use for the tires. GW sprues have lots of round "buttons" sticking out from the sprues from all their kits. These buttons just happen to be the exact diameter of the hole in GW wheels/tires/etc. You might have to look around to find one the correct size, but it is there on the various sprues. What this does is you can insert the button into the hole and have a bit of the sprue sticking out to have a good flat surface to glue the kopta blade to so that the wheel actually looks free from the blades.
Hope that helps...
Another option is to skip the wheels altogether. I made some bikes out of deffkoptas simply by clipping off the propellers, and gluing on a rokkit like barrel engine on the back. I still need to green stuff some flames coming out of it, but the idea is that they're propelled forward by a rokkit engine (like a space shuttle taking off) rather than wheels.
As an added bonus, I added a few more bits to the front, and now use the models as rokkit buggies as well. ^_^

Appreciate the help guys. I knew I kept all my bare sprews for some reason, but I really like the idea grax. Might have to try it on a couple and see how it looks since I have a crapload of deffkoptas (thank you ebay/aobr).
Well now I know ^-^
Slightly relevant.. I used the spare kopta blades to kunvert a few extra Power Klaws. Just thought I'd throw that out there, since you tend to have a couple spare kopta blades laying around after kunvershuns.
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.
