Welcome to Librarium Online!
I am trying to custom build some killa Kans. The torso that I have decided on is a bit on the heavy side and I need to find legs that could support it. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I might use. I like things that I can find an hardware stores, so that would be best. but anything would be appreciated.
try some bolts
I'm always on the lookout at the hardware store for modeling bitz XD
Have you considered using tracks instead of legs? Wouldn't technically be "walking", but function should still be the same..
That's the plan for my Kanz, I'm carving all nine of them out of wood from my falling-down-barn (once / if I ever clean my shop up..........)
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.

Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

good on the bolts and the elbow joints. Ill have to see what I can find next time i go to the store. Thanks again
If you want a plastic option, then you could always use what I used: sprue.
They come out more 'spidery' than normal killa kans, with 3-4 thin legs instead of two large ones, but if you cut out the corners from sprues, they already have a good 90 degree bend to them, making them ideal for use as legs.
