Welcome to Librarium Online!
i am recently starting nids again and have a quick question, wou ld it be against fluff if i did some models with an inverted paint scheme? for example my main paint scheme is blue carapace with bone white skin but would it be uncommon to see a nid force that had some guys with it reversed such as blue skin with white carapace? Thanks

Well the bugs are very adaptive evolving creatures. With all the unknown hives and splinter fleets you can pretty much do whatever you want. No justification necessary!
I don't see any problems with it. One justification is that the hive fleet is progressing through an evolutionary change and that one color are models from a different generation.

Tyranids evolve into all kinds of different types. I have read the fluff which explains Tyranid colouration. What is says is that nobody really knows why Tyranids are the colour they are. Tyranids come in loads of different types of colour. You can have your Tyranids any colour you want and you need not justify it with fluff. Of course if you want to you can use fluff to explain it, it is all up to you.
Hey! That's my idea... I've been meaning to paint my nids in exactly that scheme, I'm just waiting on the paint I ordered to arrive. Maybe our nids are from the same hive fleet?
Onward to conquer and feast my brethren!
