Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well guys ive realised shooty orks are not for me so i decided to try out my own list but i need help finishing it. (1500)
HQ- Gaskhull Thraka
+ ammo runt
HQ- Mad Dok Grotstink
Elites- 5 meganobz
90 slugga boyz (30 x 3) with the nobz and bosspoles
That ends up at about 1000 points. I think i need something to keep the enemy busy why the nobz hobble over but anyway heres my philosophy. When the nobz get there with both HQ's thye all have atleast 8 strenth and poer claws so no saves for the enemy. And lucky me gaz and the nobz have 2+ save and on top of that they get feel no pain from the dok. Basically these guys are gunna stomp u dead and comeout the same as they went in.
I think its pretty err mature for a first list but i just need an idea for finishing it up. THANKS SO MUCH.
You can get battle wagons for the nobs and ur boys with rokets for anti tank.
Take some Lootas, definitely at least one squad, as these are very good at providing firepower, and may also draw some fire away from your slogging Orks. Kommandos might also do well at holding up enemy units while your horde runs towards them.
Its a waste putting grotsnik and gazkull into one squad, as it wont be hard to simply bait them into hitting a pointless unit. also if you do take grotsnik, be sure to by invulnerable saves for the nobz as fell no pain wont ave them from powerweapons and the like. Also mega-nobz need wagons or trukks from experience or else they will just never make it to the fight, or will get hit by a large shot and all die.
It is an exceptionally moot point to add Grotsnik to a unit of Nobz. They can already take a Painboy, and a unit of Boyz (maybe 10 'Ard Boyz?) would do much better with the added FNP. Another point, Grotsnik is severely easy to bait into a pointless battle, and should therefore stay away from anything important (aka, Nobz, 30x Sluggas)
Furthermore, the Nobz don't need Ghazghkull's help. It'd just be too redundant, as they already hit hard enough without him. He'd be better added to a unit of Boyz, to give them the extra UMPH!
You say Dakka isn't your style, but you will likely find yourself needing to use it at some point or another.. If there's one unit that can provide it, it's Lootas! I sincerely encourage you to test them out for a few battles and see what you think!
Finally, you're entire mob will be advancing forward, which is great to stomp stuff, but not so great when you need to capture an objective in your deployment zone. For this, I suggest Grotz. They'll provide a one-way cover save for your Lootas (if you choose to use them) and will claim an objective for you.
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.
