Hey this is my first post of my progress for my army. Fluffwise its gonna be a subset of the Vior'la, i wanted them to be from a dune desert world (not just arid but worldwide seas of sand - like Arrakis from the Dune scifi book series). Maybe that world was in the same star system as Vior'la or something. I'll flesh things out more as i do more research on the Vior'la sept.
I chose bleached bone and bestial brown as my main colors with black, drybrushed with codex grey, for exposed non-painted metal areas. My sept's color is red like Vior'la's sept color. I'll also be using gold in a few areas (mostly antennae tips etc).
I painted up a test group of drones and so far I'm pretty happy with the colors. I used white as the highlight color for the bleached bone areas but i think in the future I will use a 50/50 mix of white and bleached bone. The highlights seemed a tad bit strong... i dunno, let me know what you guys think. All criticisms are welcome!
I'm gonna do a fully painted prototype for each troop type (firewarriors, crisis suits, devilfish etc) and I'll update with more picts as i go.
Here are the picts:
Ahhh, I love the smell of new figs in the morning. Looks good so far. You look to have a solid force you are building there. I would suggest you add your forces to the growing overall forces we have here. You should be able to find the post on the next page or so.
- Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.
Looks good so far! I like the color scheme, and your painting style is very clean. Looking forward to more updates.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Those are looking pretty sick so far! Can't wait to see more models.
Good luck and have fun painting 'em!!
at least your not painting the hover stands, so many people paint them >_> That is like painting the necron green sticks blue....
