I have heard about tau ninja tactics using the positional relay. But how does this work as i see it the positional relay helps get models on the table. It was also said that devil fish where been kept off with FW's how is this possible? I have much confusion on the matter so any help would be greatly appreciated.
The way I used the Positioning Relay, was with a Pathfinder devilfish.
A Sunforge team (Twin Fusions and Target arrays), dropping next to a baneblade. Arriving on a 2+ and then re-rolling the scatter die if needed. Made them hit the marks every time I dropped them.
I may have been lucky but It was quite a fun trick whilst I could do it.
that does sound like a good idea! What about using it to out flank with kroot do you get to re roll table edge?
I don't think it allows you to do that. It just allows the re-roll of the scatter.
I just checked its rules and it didnt say anything about been able to re-roll scatter?
My appologies. I confused myself when the pathfinder devilfish was mentioned. My bad.
Yes, the Relay lets you arrive on a 2+, the pathfinder devilfish lets you re-roll the scatter die.
