Void Dragon Phoenix
NONE! They are all bad!
Other... (post your alternate suggestion)
I am thinking of buying 1, maybe 2, of the Eldar non-super-heavy flyers to go with my Eldar corsair army. I'm curious as to which one you all think is the best of the three (for those of you who know the rules for them).
Personally, I don't have much preference between them in terms of looks; I think they are all pretty cool looking. I was just hoping the rest of you could help me choose which to get.
Eldar Vampire Hunter.
Course, it's way more expensive. But I do like it best.
Wraithbone is stronger than adamantium. Prove me wrong.
If you were going to get two I'd recommend the Void Dragon Phoenix and a Nightwing. The regular phoenix is just a little shizophrenic in it's armament, it's got a big anti-tank gun mixed in with the the anti-infantry goodness of the shuriken cannons and phoenix missle launchers. The VDP's weapons are all pretty much geared towards shredding infantry, plus it's got a way cooler name.
Yeah, I was thinking about getting both the VDP and the Nightwing like you said, it's just that I also want to get some Battlefleet Gothic stuff and an airbrush, too, and I won't have enough money if I buy more than 1 flyer.
I have a VDP and a Nightwing and they are great to use in big games and have very different purposes e.g. Anti Tank vs. Anti Infantry.
I'm not convinced about the Vampires. They are mucho expensive in game points and appear very fragile. Your opponent, may choose to ignore a Nightwing as it can be a hard target and there are probably easier targets to hit. Whereas the Vampire is too powerful to ignore and hence may take more fire. Bear in mind that they can all be glanced by a bolter

Yeah, I may even buy the second of the two flyers (Nightwing & VDP), when I save up enough money again. For now, I'm only buying one though.
Any opinions on which of the two are better? I know it's kind of hard to judge, though, since they serve different purposes, that's my main problem. I can't figure out which is better. I love the way both of them look, so I can't decide that way either.
Nightwing. Interceptor rule, decent anti-tank armaments, and the ability to pick at the odd infntry formation if nothing else is convienent.
If you're just not sure, at the end of the day which one looks cooler to you? Which seems like it'd be more fun to paint?
I personally don't like the look of hte night wing too much. The (dark)Pheonix models are much better looking. Especially if one day you finally get the vampire hunter. Oh what a wonderful model.
My personal preference is the dark pheonix, mainly because it is a little more DE looking and being a DE player that means a bit.
For you I'm not sure on looks but the pheonix models are more Corsair looking to me.
Rules Shmoles. When it comes to Forgeworld it is best to be really happy with your purchase and that depends on more than power on the table top.
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
By dark phoenix, you mean the Void Dragon Phoenix, right? I think I do kinda like the Phoenix models better than the Nightwing. At this point I am leaning towards the Void Dragon Phoenix. It's a cool model, it seems to perform well, and it technically is a corsair ship (Void Dragon is a corsair band). I just think that the Nightwing might be a better points value. I mean it takes out tanks, which cost way more than infantry, and yet it costs significantly less points than its anti-infantry brethren. Although I guess you could argue that points costs matter less in Apoc...
