Welcome to Librarium Online!
I am having so much trouble picking out a scheme for my nids! Please describe what colours you use and possibly pictures.
i use a really nice natural scheme thats also appealing to the eye utilizing some bright colors. the skin starts with base dark angels green followed by a wash of green then successive highlights of dark angels green goblin green and camo green respectively. the final highlight should be straight camo green and the middle highlight should be straight goblin green. mixing the colors for highlights between each layer is a good idea. the more layers the better.
the carapace is painted black and uses the same technique as hive fleet leviathan with the colors scorched brown bestial brown snakebite leather and bubonic brown respectively.
hooves and talons were based bubonic brown and washed with flesh wash or similar wash. it was then highlighted with bubonic brown with successive mixes of bleached bone with a final highlight of straight bleached bone.
any other spots like adrenal glands or gun pipes i painted the same as carapace except i used chestnut ink or similar wash after the first layer of scorched brown and instead of bubonic brown i highlighted with vomit brown.
paint the tongues whatever you want! i used liche purple.
it's a fun scheme and looks really nice and lizardy. i would provide a picture if i wasnt so lazy :p
I use purple on the exoskeleton of my bugs and give them black carapace. The black is highlighted with aqua green up to white. I also convert lots of my Tyranids to look like scorpions in some way. You may find that picking a theme becomes easier if you convert them in some way.
Here are some links that may help you out.

Here are some of the pics you wanted.
I use Rotting flesh as a skin tone (a substitute can be made with denab stone and grethin green mix for a spary gun) with a shell of *something* Granite. Makes quite a natural coloured schema. Then I use reds and purples as specific point colours (tounges and fluids)
I also really like the conversion aspect of the big ones and have gone for a shooting army. So everyhting that isn't CC has tiny arms as they have evolved that way.
Hope this helps

I also go for a more natural looking scheme. The skin is Knarloc Green over black primer (I am starting to do subsequent models with Catachan over black for a darker look), washed with Catachan Green and Thraka Green. The carapace starts at Graveyard Earth, then works up through Kommando Khaki and Bleacked Bone. The tendons and other sundry bits are mostly painted white and washed purple, with a bit of Warlock Purple or Lich Purple + White for hightlights. Eyes are orange. I've only got one model done, but here he is for your consideration.

Just for clarification, the dip used was unthinned minwax antique walnut.
