Welcome to Librarium Online!
did anyone find making the stompa hard and is the stompa worth it?
I didn't it find it hard at all, but the instructions that come with it are chod. The instructions on the GW are much better:
What bits are you haveing trouble with?
I love my stompa, I've never used him yet, but he looks great and was buckets of fun to put together and paint. I made my one "vanilla" but I intend to get another one and customise the bejeezuz out of it.
its all the extra detail and the big gun thing was those parts easy for you?
Hardest part was getting the whole hull to stick together and assembling all the hydraulics on the choppy arm.
Should be getting its first Apoc game tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.

Whenever I work on something big like this I always look at the parts that are going to be easier to paint before assembly and stuff that would okay to paint after assembly.
For the big gun I made up the main components seperatly e.g.
Cables and grots
I then painted all those seperately and then glued them alltogether after painting. However, I stuck the main gun arm to the hull first as I wanted to keep the weight to a minimum whilst the glue was drying.
Same principle for the saw arm. I painted all the cables and pistons before assembly so that it would be easier to paint.
In all the GW guides they always make everything up first and then pain, but I find that way to fiddly - trying to paint up something the size of the stompa after full assembly would drive me mental.
