Is it acceptable to tie in your aspect warrior's color schemes with your craftworld scheme?
I'm thinking black and red scorpions and dark red bodied Avengers to tie in with my Saim-Hann theme.
Has anyone else done this?
I'm 95% sure you can do this. I have seen other people do it, and I will probably do it on my own models. It better be legal because in the 5th ed. rule book there is a picture of an Alaitoc army with blue warp spiders. They look pretty awesome, actually.
Yep its what most people do, Aspect Warriors tend to look extremely out of place in your army unless you use some of your craftworlds colour on them.
I have Biel-Tan, so I am adding green to most my Aspect Warriors.
You can paint them pink with yellow polkadots, they're still going to be Aspect Warriors. As far as the rules go, you can paint your army whatever colours you want and it will still be 100% legal. Regarding the fluff, I see no reason why some craftworlds will be a little more divergent from the traditional colour schemes for their Aspects. I haven't seen anything that has blatantly stated "all Aspect Warriors always have this coloured armour," I think you're fine.
Ussualy a good painted army looks better in my opinion with aspect warriors in their shrine colour, but is not forbidden to paint them as you like because in the end is your fun and colour is not wysiwyg related.
My aspect warriors are shrine colour with an exception: scorpions have a metal theme not a green one. Looks nice!

I am going to mostly go with the Aspect Shrines colors. However, I will also be putting in my color as well. For the most part I am thinking that the manes that most of the aspect warriors have on their helmets will be my craftworlds color.
The way I've done mine is to basically paint the Aspects by their shrine colours but any details like extra hair (Warp Spiders), tabards (Banshees) and all guns/CC weapons are the same colours as my main Craftworld colurs. So everyone has some enchanted Blue on them al all ranged guns are Metalic red/white and CC weapons are gold and white. I feel it's enough to give off a unified feel to the army. I just need to get off my butt and paint them!
Is there a decent tutorial around for painting Biel-Tan Aspect Warriors? I have no idea where to start with mine.
