    planetstrike discussion and strategies

    So I have been looking over the planetstrike previews and the attacker/defender previews, and it seems that with the limited space that tau get, simply because of the physical walls imposed by the terrain that they are making that tau are going to be forced into a static style, and that the attacking tau force is probably going to be very favorable for mechs because of theslots. 6 fast attack slots and 6 elite slots

    p.s. if you didn't know, the planetstrike rules state that attackers need only put in one hq slot for attackers and there are no required troop choices, although the 1+ on the firewarriors will probably still be required. And for the defenders, there are now 6 heavy support slots. However, they still have the 2 reuired troop choices

    So for anyone who does not know the new slot choices, there you go, or for anyone who has seen it and knows I have made a mistake, please correct me.

    However, what I am really writing this for is to initate a discussion on strategies you would use (the tau community) for each role, after knowing these newforce slot choices.

    For example, would you use 6 hammerheads or 6 teams of broadsides? (good god, thats 18 railguns....)

    However, one bit of food for thought, doesn't it say in the t'au lore/fluffy stuff that tau dont like holding static positions and that they would flee the city and try to take it back in a mobile stlye? OR am I mistaken? annnyywaaayy DISCUSS!!!

    it also says they will place troops to do a rar guard as they pull their citizens and other units back.
