While playing against en elder friend of mine today I noticed that ork deffkoptas have the mob rule. But since they can only take up to 5 koptas in a unit what is the point? is it there just to keep up with ork fluff or am i missing somehting?
I too was wondering this.
theyre tempting as a mobile fire support unit, or using them to assist truckboyz in assaults.
But if they turn and run at the first sign of trouble, then they not soo usefull
#25 - Relation to the original topic decreases with every single post.
They have it, but they can never use it. It's simply for completeness' sake. Since they're Orks, they have mob rule, even though they can't make use of it. Games Workshop did the same thing in the Fantasy Ogre army. Every ogre has bull charge, even if they can't be fielded in units of 3 or more.
Yah, Mob Rule on Deffkoptas is quite..... useless in regular games. It's very useful in Apoc as you can get a units of 12+
Hmmm, it is most strange. In the FAQ Deffkoptas lost the Waaagh! rule but not this.
Unless taking 5 with two wounds each counts as Ld10, though I am guessing this is most likely not true.
No, it's 'models' in the unit, not 'wounds' in the unit. It's there simply for completeness sakes, and possibly for apocalypse formations, if there's one where they can have 8 or more deffkoptas in the unit (I'm not completely sure if there is one, I don't have the new apocalypse book).
Yeah, I was 99.99% sure I was wrong, just wanted to throw an idea out there.
yes there is a "skwadron".. and yes its awsome! =D used it in our Orkapokalipsis on saturday + sunday.
