I'm old hand at Tau, and while I love Kroot, never really played with Krootox. Also, due to Plague Marines, I've been playing with farsight mostly since 5th came out. But what, exactly, is preventing us from putting a minimum kroot squad with 2 Krootox, and loading it in a DF? They're still regular infantry, right?
Wow. I guess there's nothing in the RAW to prevent this, is there?
Definitely feels wrong, though!
One of those cases where Krootox are "obviously" too big to fit (like the prohibition of models in terminator armour getting in Rhinos). Except that there isn't any rule about the size of Krootox models like there are for terminators so....
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

It does feel wrong. But I'm thinking it's legal. And here I was thinking to myself that while putting 12 Kroot in a DF might be nice, it's not quite enough to do something. But 9 kroot, a shaper and two krootox, that might knock some things around.
It is, in fact, perfectly legal to do this. However, the Adepticon FAQ states that they'll take up two transport slots each, and so if your store uses that FAQ then you're out of luck.
As a side note, if you're playing with Forgeworld models the Great Gnarlok also counts as Infantry, it isn't an MC. You can put 12 in a Devilfish by RAW.

I fight for the Greater Good. Too bad for you it's MY Greater Good.
Snow Forces of T'olku W/L/D : 3-4-2... I like to think I'm learning, though.
A Krootox should realistically take up three slots in a vehicle. Two for the krootox and one for the rider. Thus realistically solving the issue of trying to put them in a devilfish seeing as you would need 10 kroot plus one krootox equaling 13 slots.

Started a blog.
That's a pretty cool Loophole here.
B ) Via Great Gnarlocks. Ok, that is both retarded and awesome. I would not blame the guy who hit me for trying that. Still Hilarious, though.
Krootoxes though............It's almost reasonable. Except it's not.
Opponent: How about we play tat you don't have to tell each other what's in the vehicles?
Unloaded 12 greater Gnarlocks
I ben he'd regret saying that.
Nvm, I found it. http://www.adepticon.org/files/INATFAQv2.2.pdf
Still, this appears to be put together by an independent group, right? While that may mean they are in fact more rigorous than GW, who is often brain dead, it's not official in any way, right?
I have considered the same thing myself because two Krootox can hurt and putting them in cover on an objective (via the DF) would make said objective tough to take.
