So let me get this strait, a mob of Meganobz can use a BattleWagon as a Dedicated Transport, and that means that the Battlewagon counts as using the same Elites space on the F.O.C. as the Meganobz? (the chicken was too tempting)
yeah but you don't get the killkannon.. AND it's slower than the trukk. Can mean the difference between getting your nobz into combat on turn 2 or turn 3.
But the thing is, this is a great FOC saver because if I get the Warboss I get a battlewagon and Meganobz for one troops choice.
Yes, they are slower, however it really depends on what you are doing, how many battlewagonz your army has currently, how many points your army is. Based on those things, it could mean that a battlewagon might not be as good a choice as a trukk.
Too me though, it sounds like you are discovering deffwing! And if that is true, I salute you, I have fallen in love with the deffwing as well!
if you used 3 BW as dedicated transports then you could use three more in your HS slot and with 2 warboss making nobz troops they to can a have dedicated transport BW
you can have 8 total
3- elite's dedicated transport
2- troops dedicated transport
3- heavy support choices
That list is just begging to go up against Dark Eldar...
the only down side is that playing it is only doable in larger game... seeing as you need 5 units of nobs to get all the waggons.. .. in those higher points games the army you will be facing will have a whole load of nasty things that can pop those waggons
