    Vehicle's Shuriken Catapults

Do the Shuriken Catapults/Cannons on Falcons, Wave Serpents, and Fire Prisms have a 360 degree movement? I can actually take the gun and swivel it so it is pointing at something behind, but it looks very awkward and is pretty much shooting through the clear base and into the ground nearby. Nevertheless, it is pointing backwards and I can point it at an enemy model.

The weapons are never stated as being either turrets nor sponson-mounted.

    Is this allowed?

Eldar catapults on vehicles have 180 degrees not 360. look in the rulebook on turret LOS and you will see an example with Eldar Serpent.

Under the March Rulebook FAQ they actually specifically addressed this, saying that the Eldar undermounted weapons have an arc of roughly 180 degrees towards the front of the vehicle.

I cannot find the entry in the main rulebook using a Wave Serpent as an example, but the 40k March 2009 Errata does in fact state the Wave Serpent can physically pivot 360, but the "acceptable compromise" is that it is a 180 pivot.

My issue was that the Eldar Codex doesn't state whether the TL Catapults are mounted on the hull, sponson, pintle, or a turret so I was going by the model's capability.

    Thanks.

I always had assumed it was about 180% but nobodies ever been worried about it or anything, neither have I,
but it's good to know now

If you mean the ones on the underside they have a 180 degree arc of fire. The turret-mounted weapons can fire 360 degrees IIRC.

OK, so what if your immobilized? I take the flying base away and put the model on the ground! Can I still shoot the catapults or is the gun redundant because of LOS??
