Im getting ready to expand my footsloggers and am torn between these two choices:
A: 5 x Warbikes: Nob with Bosspole, Power Klaw = 165pts
B: 10 x Stormboyz: Nob with Bosspole, Power Klaw, 'Eavy Armor = 165pts
So I wanted to see which choice people preferred better.
-Both Mobs have just about the same number of wounds (10, 11)
-Warbikes have +1 T AND 4+ cover and armor saves making them more survivable.
-Warbikes have more versatility: (can shoot or assault)
-Warbikes are faster (turbo boost)
-Stormboyz are more maneuverable (move over terrain)
-Stormboyz have a LOT more attacks
Essentially both have their pros and cons, stormboyz get a lot more attacks but are considerably more vulnerable and have virtually no Dakka.
So which choice should I take? Suggestions for alternate units, and overall, what is better, stormboyz or warbikes? Keep in mind I play footslogging Orks

i have both, and i personally perfer warbikes,
i think its more personal opinion then anything, i mean everyones styles diffrent, i think the best way to find out which one is better is to get them both and try them

I've never played Warbikes, but the Stormboys I think are pretty effective. Stormboyz I think are good for launching at the opportune time into assault to take out the dakka that keeps killing your Orks.
I just looked at the codex again and saw that it show both 2 wounds and 1 wound for warbikes listed. (pages 46 and 101) which one is correct? If they really only have one wound each then f*** that I'll for sure use stormboyz instead.

I use warbikers. A lot of the time I can shoot a unit to death with them before I get to charge. Having a 4+ cover save, 3 twin linked shots, high toughness and the ability to turbo boost is just awesome. They're certainly better value than MEQ bikes.
I've used a 1500pt wazdakka army with everyone on bikes except 200 points of burnas in a looted wagon and it was awesome. The only problem I had was higher levels in ruins, bikes can't go up

Been here nearly 10 years and still haven't managed 500 posts.
bikes are still good even if they do only have one wound.. the twin linked dakka gunz are top noch at taking down light tanks and troops... the power klaw nob can charge his way into anything that the shooting alone cant kill... eg lemonruss..
the 4+ cover save helps keep them alive better than you think.
storm boyz are a good unit if your looking to add some speed to your hord, but dont be too suprised if they get blow to bitz before they get to the other side of the table. but just think all those shots arnt at your boyz mobs so more of them can get in..

I voted bikes because mainly because 10 stormboyz are going to get shot up pretty quick. The bikes at least have a cover save and provide a decent mobile firing platform. TL dakka gunz rule! If there were more stormboyz in the mob however...

I'm suprised this is even close.
Warbikes hands down.
1) They can be troops
2) Better guns
3) There's no risk of a random wound being inflicted due to rolling a one.
Number three is a big one to me, but number one seals the deal for me.
