Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have a game coming up against mechanized eldar with wraithlords, Seer council on jetbikes, and avatar. He gets as much cheese outta the eldar codex as possible. I have never been able to beat him, and was wondering if I could get some help here.
The game type will be rolled for and will be 2500 points. I have a good sized foot slogging army AND a good sized speed freaks army.
Your opponents army sounds horrible.
I'd recommend the speed freeks army instead of foot sloggers so that you don't get hideously out manoeuvred. (even though I don't actually know what you've got in your army).
I'd say nob bikerz and bikerz are good for shooting the back of the tanks so they pop then charge the pansy eldar when they all get out. Also if I remember correctly, seer council only wound on 2s and aren't power weapons, so nob bikers with a painboy should be able to shrug those off pretty easily and then smash them when its the nobs turn to hit back.
If you can do a very shooty army this might be good. I don't do shooty so I can't really offer any advice

Been here nearly 10 years and still haven't managed 500 posts.
Wraithlords - Nobz within boyz squads will swat these guys aside. Keep your nob squads away however.
Seer council on jetbikes - If you've got them, meganobz laugh at these. Throw them into a battlewagon and chase them down. You have more wounds than them, more attacks, and a better save.
Avatar - Lootas, kannons, rokkits, just about anything that's a decent strength with a high rate of fire or can penetrate AP3. Alternatively, throw some nobz with a WAAAGH banner so you're hitting on 4's or a Warboss with klaw. Considering that I already recommended meganobz above, I'd propose just the warboss here. A warboss w/ cybork body, warbike, attack squig, & powerklaw does a solid job. On the charge your boss will take .88 wounds, yet deal 1.25. On subsequent turns you're still doing a wound a turn. So long as you can deal a wound or two before the warboss charges, you should come out ahead.
So, summing this all up I'm looking at a speed freaks list.
Eldar, in my opinion, is probably the toughest army the Orks can face, as long as the Eldar player knows what they're doing. Falcons with holo-fields and star engines are virtually impossible for footslogging armies to take down, and fortune/doom allows Eldar troops to make mincemeat of Orks in close combat.
You need firepower, in the form of either (or both) rokkit buggies and/or lootas. You also need some speed in the list, to counteract his fast troops, and bring the fight to him, rather than the other way around.
In short, you need speed and firepower. Hordes of boyz alone won't be enough to win the day.
