this is really just me asking some opinions
I recently picked up an old school necron warrior(the egyptian type) and i noticed how much more beefy they are compared to the current warriors and my question is:
Do you think i could use the old warrior as an immortal without people making a big fuss about it? would you care if your opponent were using them as immortals? and im not talking about using a ton of them as a squad of immotals but more so adding the one i have to an immortal squad for nostalgia sake.
I don't see any problem with it as long as your opponent doesn't. I mean I've used Space Marines as immortals before. It really depends on your opponent.
well the idea is that they're not proxies
they're super beefy warriors that look like immortals anyway
As far as I see it they are proxies because they were origanially warriors. Mostpeople won't know or wont care so it doesn't matter, but in a turnie I don't know.
i wouldnt expect them to work in a tourney i just figured since im already using one of the ejyptian lords as a lord why not use another old model that looks like an immortal minus the double barrel!
anyway i was just checking some opinions
They would likely work in a tourney situation as well as friendly games; tourneys allow conversions just as long as the models are adequately represented and it's absolutely clear what each models counts as. I don't see that anyone would force you to use the Immortals models, when you have such a nice alternative.
Just make sure they look the part, and I think you'll be okay.
Plus, I feel like their name, 'Immortal,' makes sense; they are rather old models!
