I like flash gits but i'm a bit dissapointed that there arent any models for them (forcing me to convert them). Ive had a couple of ides but they just seem silly now. please pitch ideas
Someone at my local store mentioned that GW was in the works of producing an actual model for the Gitz.. I don't know how much truth there is to that though?
I plan to convert a couple using the body/heads from the AoBR nobz. The base of the arms will be from the extra burna arms I'm sure everyone has dozens of, and then just glueing on enough extra guns to the guns until I'm satisfied.
Some of the nob heads have eye patches or cybork type eyes which seem perfect to me to be their 'git-findas'.
i plan to use the Nob box set x2 with AoBR nobz and big shoota's
i, going to cut all the kombi-rokkits, ang big shoota's in half and glue them together,
so they have 'Uge guns wth 'Uge barrels on them
i had same idea for eyes as thrillho
Yeah, to be honest I'd prefer it if GW didnt release a Gitz model. Its nice to have something we actually have to build up ourselves, as its promote the mekiness within. I used the Nobz, with some added gubbins on them, to make the guns look a little bit monstrous. I am quite impressed with them.
It doesnt even have to be orks guns you use, as long as the gun has an orky feel to it in the end, I dont see the problem with having a tau burst cannon as the foundation to something spectular.

Loota/burna sets work nice, as do the old 'pirate' themed Orks. The new nob sets also work.
Personally, I think the very best flash git model is the old Kapt. Badrukk model. He isn't really big enough to be Kapt. Badrukk by today's standards, but as a regular flash git, he's perfect.

im liking the suggestions that you folks have been putting in so thanks. the thing is, i want my flash gitz to not just have big guns, but have something else unique to them. the badrukk idea was quite a good idea, unfortunately im not liking the head or bosspole on badrukk. but that shouldnt stop anyone else from doing it
I use the special weapons headpeice for my flashgitz. The one that has the eyepeice to represent the git finder. If you like the bear heads, you can use the bullseye scope as a monicle from the basic boys box.
I used to play Epic scale and have a lot of Imperial titan weapons in a box somewhere.
I know I have at least half a dozen plasma destructors that would make great fully snazzed weapons (assuming you can make the snazzguns dakkaier, shootier blasters?).
I will probably use Nobs as the base for the figure ensuring I use some cyber-parts & some 'ard boy plating with some loota git-finderz, then get serious with the greenstuff adding a great coat (probably paint this black with a gloss purple 'silk' lining) & an oversized top hat with funeral directors bow & tails (in purple silk for contrast) with a playing card or two tucked in the band.
Will do a painboy in a similar fashion, even though half the time with AP2+ weapons victims will be inoperable, but ammo-runts (in this case with fire extinguishers raher than cases of ammo) could save a few wounds from these self-harm devices.
Will start this Saturday and post a series of pics if I can work out how.
If you are good with greenstuff you could make bionic eyes and squigskin leather jackets for 'em.
Ogryn Ripper guns would make great guns for 'em but it might be expensive to get a hold of them.
Am I right in thinking that if my 9 gitz have dakkaier, shooterier blasters and a pain boy the following proceedure takes place:
1. roll 18 shots AP d6-1 min1, str 6, any rolls of 1 (3 on average 'get hot')
2. first round I can use my 3 ammo-grots to aleviate this, so long as I don't roll a 1 again.
3. any persisting 1s to-hit get hot so boyz take str6 ap d6-1 hits from them.
4. Gitz roll to wound themselves, so with str6 thats 2+ and can then make their armour saves:
5. If the rolled ap was a 6-1 =5+ they can attempt their heavy armour save of 4+ otherwise they are using their cybork bodies invulnerable 5+ save, so its effectively a 5+ save vs self harm?
6. If they fail this the painboy can get stuck in as long as they didn't roll <4 on the ap check die; which gives rise to ap2+ so 'feel no pain' doesn't work as the weapon is so destructive that the burn is inoperable.
So round 1 they should be OK but each round after they are likely to take shots taken/6*(5/6)*3*(2+2) i.e shots taken /60 wounds, that's only 2 wounds in a 6 turn game; not as bad as you first think; but then these gits are costing 45+ pts per figure so about = to meganobz but you have to use a second heavy weapons choice to transport them which is a dreadful case of a lot of eggs in one basket.
Has anyone used these and have any tales to tell before I start building them.
