Are older models of dire avenger's playable in tournaments?
On that note, How often does GW cycle out models?
i dont know why they shouldnt be allowed. as longs as you run them with the new rules and codex, then i dont see why not, you could always ask a store member

As long as the wargear is correct I don't think they can ban your old models. In other words a DA with a shuricat is ok, a Guardian Defender with a powerfist and chainsword is not. The same thing goes for bases, if the model should have a large terminator type base in this edition you can't have it on an old regular infantry base.

Have there been any instances where GW has cycled out models?
I don't want to buy a ton of Dire Avengers and have them become useless because suddenly they can be equipped with something else or with grenades etc...
I don't remember seeing the old DA exarchs using the same gear?
Is there a policy on cycling out models or changing them up? It seems everyone just uses the new stuff.
I was actually gonna ask a similar question, while on vacation I was cleaning out the garage and I found a few eldar figures that have to be at least 12 years old (2nd edition perhaps?). When comparing them to their modern counterparts, the scale seems off. The older figures seem noticeably smaller than the newer versions, though the bases are still the same size. If they are still legal, I'm definitely fielding the reapers and rangers I found.
