I want to start my first army and i like the idea of stormyboyz and kommandos so i decided to go with blood axes. i want to work out whether using stormboyz and kommandos are a horrible idea and there is no point in that, thanks!!!
Kommandos are very good, especially with Boss Snikrot. So many attacks in the backfield can scare many armies and they're reasonably priced.
Storm Boyz are so so in my opinion. They're fast, bust as easy to kill as a regular Ork and may blow up. They're best in a VERY fast army, otherwise they'll be easily cut down while your other units are far away. Hope that helped, enjoy the WAAAAAAAAGH!
Thanks but if im correct can't stormboyz deepstrike. I should have mentioned i wanted to go with the idea of coming from all sides.
They indeed can, however without Zagstruk that's no good. They'll be right in front of some guns, unable to assault and if they land in cover you can lose some. Zagstruk can let them assault when they come down but he's a large risk. If you're a gambling man, look into him.

Stormboyz are good in large groups of 15-20, with a nob, powerklaw, and bosspole, but they only really seem to last (and shine) in speed freaks armies, as a way to get numbers in the list, and help against armies filled with anti-armor weapons. However, I'd only use them in larger games. In smaller games (less than 2000 points) you need those points for troops.
I never deepstrike with stormboyz, as it really negates the point of their speed, and they're too easy to shoot to death the turn they arrive. Zagstrukk is just horrible. I've never seen him do anything besides get his whole unit killed. The problem is his 'powerklaw only on the turn you charge' is horribly unreliable, and all it takes is a single walker to counter-assault and completely destroy your stormboyz.

stormboyz can be useful, if u dont use them to lead frontal assaults against enemy elite h-t-h troops, HQ units, or a nasty dreadnaught.
Stormboys should be used to either tie up enemy firing bases (such as devastator squads), so that they cannot shoot ur army as they charge towards them, or be used to capture objectives, or tank hunting.
the first choice, tieing up enemy troops, u should use squad of at least 15 stormboyz, a nob, with a PK, and a bosspole.
Capturing objectives is a cheaper choice, around 10 to survive enemy fire.
tank hunting is a somewhat medium choice. take 10 boyz and a nob with a PK.
Zagstruk is a fun character, being the gambler i am, and with him, its win big or lose big.
I think that you probably will need stormboyz for their mobility.
Commandos are a great choice, and snikrot looks badass...
