1. For Kroot squads, should I take the hounds or can I just use tons of Kroot?
2. Is there a trick to glue on Kroot arms? Out of all the models I've collected in GW games, the Kroot have to be the hardest for me. How in blazes do you do it?
Thanks in advance.
But I think you'll have a wider array of deployment tactics if you take larger units of 15, 16, even more than that. And if you're going that big, you may as well save a few points AND get superior combat ability out of it. Kroot rifles are decent, but I think shooting isn't really one of Kroot's stronger suits IMHO; you've got an entire Tau army to handle that phase of your game turns. Can't say that I had any trouble with Kroot. Necron Warriors for my son's first army were a PITA, but Kroot were easy for me.Originally Posted by MaleOpener

if i could i would take only squads of entire hounds, they're a bit cheaper and more powerful in CC than carnivores.
also, ive no idea
There are three kinds of people in this world, those who can count and those who cannot.
Overall, I love kroot. They are probably the most important units in my army because of their versatility. Counter-charge, anti-deepstrike, pillboxing, outflanking, and plenty of others.
I love that picture number6. I did that once except my models weren't able to reach all the way across the table, leaving a small opening for my opponent to move his models onto the board.

Having never used hounds, I can't comment on their effectiveness, but I want to agree with the above about Kroot. Should the next next Tau update give us new Kroot models? Up for debate, but when you're on the verge of giving your unit a story about being burn victims on a lava planet due to difficult gluing...
