Welcome to Librarium Online!
Rules asside... what would you guys love to see changed?
Do you like th core look of the DE? Do you want drastic changes?
Fluffwise do you want some things changed? Are there specific things you wish to see elaborated?
Do you want the DE to move closer to the Eldar or take their own distinct direction?
Do you want the focus of the DE to remain fixed on Raiders and the likes or would you prefer changes themewise?
I would love to know more about Dark Eldar culture and day to day life. Also, I would like to see them confirm whether or not the DE are having the same population problems as regular Eldar as they seem to be expanding and growing rather then shrinking.
In fact just knowing more about my army in general is what I want.
This would be next to reasons why Dark Eldar almost never fight for territory, and how this affects their army capabilities.
Stories regarding battles, fluff regarding equipment, it would all help to emphasize the Dark Eldar.
What I miss the most, however, is the way the Dark Eldar are described as egotistical, but is not included in any way in the army list. Rule or be ruled, but in my armies, everyone follows the boss without questioning. Why?
The Dark Eldar should definately take their own distinct direction: the one they have taken from the very beginning. Death and destruction, all to serve one purpose: the Dark Eldar own survival.
Innovation suffuses this hobby like a tea bag in the boiling water of play.
I agree with what has been said here. I want a much deeper understanding (and more pictures!) of Commorragh and accounts from the perspective of the Dark Eldar themselves of what it's like to live there.
I want the fluff from Torturor's Tale to stay intact. Just flesh things out more.
As to how the army plays. I'm hoping they focus on (A) getting the rules clearly defined, (B) properly balancing the cost and abilities of every unit, (C) reducing the unnecessary restrictions on our choices, and (D) adding a brand new unit or two and plenty more special characters. The ultimate result of all of this is an army that retains the strategies of today (Raiders, Raiders, Raiders!), but adds plenty more viable strategies to keep us happily experimenting for good long while.

I'd love to see more well working specialized lists.
Wyches, Webway portal, Raider Assault but also Haemonculus hordes and even a more foot or bike orientated option.
A force composed out of a lot of gliders, jetbikes and the likes would be fun.
What would I want to see?
"Copyright Games Workshop Limited 2009".
Aside from the rules I would want –
• A second troop choice,
• White Dwarf battle reports using players who know what they are doing (come on Kwikwag – you know you want to!)
• Dark Eldar transfers, just like the Codex tells us are available, yeah right.
• Dark Eldar banners to represent your Kabal,
• Xenos terrain because every wrecked building in the universe could not possibly be of Imperial origin, or could it?
• A model for the Decapitator,
• All wargear available as sprue, this includes Nightshields, shadow fields, Slave snares etc.
• An official web way portal item, hands up who is sick of using a small blast template,
• Oh, and an official line stating that we are not in any way aligned with Chaos.
How’s that for a start?
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
from a pure model perspective the dark eldar look like total piles of dogshit
I think GW needs to look at the old metal Dirz from rackahm and apply that to dark eldar
make them arcane techno alchemists of devious intent
Actually remember that model that showed up in the 5th ed rulebook? The Blue Warrior who looked kind of like a hybrid Eldar Guardian/ Fantasy Dark Elf with spikes in the right places, a pretty sweet tabard and a wicked gun?
I really hope our Warriors look like that. Or a new unit that looks like that. New unit is good But this isn't a codex wishlist, its fluff!
First, I originally got into Dark Eldar due to HARLEQUINS! I'd love to see some more fluff about the Harlequin forays into Dark Eldar cities (its not just Commoragh last I heard). The Eldar codex mentions some of the performances and stuff.
Next, I know the Dark Eldar fight Slaanesh to their dying breath. But what of the other Chaos Gods. What of Khaine? The Fantasy Dark Elves are all about Khaine, the Lord of Blood and Murder. (Kinda makes the Dark Avatar a feasible suggestion really). But then again, who is Slaanesh's (im)mortal enemy? Other than the surviving Eldar gods and those who hate Chaos, its KHORNE.
And I certainly can see the connection between Khorne and Khaine. To me, I won't be surprised to see a leap in this direction. Not sure how I would feel about this, but Chaos Eldar is on everyone's mind.
