i am new to nids and lookinh around on the forge world website, i found this fex combo. seen as i have no nid models, and im kinda waiting too see if a new dex comes out, is this model legal now?? i just ove the model

Yeah, that's a perfectly legal build for a carnifex, the newest plastic carnifex kit was made FOR the 4th ed codex. Granted I would say it's not a terribly effective build, mostly need to drop the rending claws, those are completely useless on a carnifex, as is thornback, I'd personally switch those to scything talons and spinebanks.
I don't think that build is legal, simply because you have three arm biomorphs. (claws, talons and rending claws.) Drop one of the three and I think you're good.
ould this be a close combat beast, or just a cc type, i would drop rending claws as they sound rubbish. what role and what sort of stats would this have
This would be a mid range CC fex.
The issue is that currently CC fexes just aren't that good. They don't get enough attacks to do any real damage and are too slow to make combat in the first instance.
by the way, what is the difference between a "Close combat beast" and a "cc type"? Sounds to me like the same thing...
