Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm starting a Necron army of 2250 points. Now I'm wanting to convert all the models in the army as its going to be my one and only 40k army after selling every other one I own.
So any ideas for how to convert them or pics of others conversions would be appreciated.
Are you wanting some sort of theme for it? Is there a reason you want to do all these conversions? Are you wanting to use the GW models and alter themor make your own versions and have them as "counts as"? Sorry for all the questions but this extra detail will help others to help you better.

Any ideas will be welcome, no matter how crazy.
I ideally want them to look dark and evil (think the machines from Virus) or even evil mechanicum. I have some ideas in my head and am currently sketching them out but inspiration from others is welcome. I'll use any models as a base or for bits but I plan on doing alot of conversion work and do plan on using the counts as rule for the monolith at least (I was thinking walking/track fed mini titan like thing).
The reason for all the conversions is that I want to make a very personalised army not to mention to make a good looking Necron army. That and I don't have much cash to spend every month so I want to make the building and painting last a good few months.
i would say try converting them like they look in the codex.
hanging their arms low, like their weapon is very heavy
shouldn't take any extra bits just some cutting of the limbs and reposing
necron really don't have the ability to convert them to any sort of them.. they're skeletons with no material possesions and only exist to kill.
if you dont care about fluff in your conversion well then... i say aside from my previous idea go with a really regal theme. give them lots of gems like eldar have. or perhaps a roman sort of theme with robes and laurels around their heads.
or my favorite idea... pirates. they're already skeletons!

Fluff is that this dude has some kind of malfunction, works perfect with original fluff. Just look at the flayed ones. The thing is that this guy will be the only coverted piece in the whole army.
