I am looking for suggestions on what to use for wings for something like a tyrant.
I know how to make wings that have a very insectish look, but I am going for the leathery look that most people think of for Tyranids.
Thanks a bunch

Balrog or Dragon wings are a popular choice. I used Balrog for mine and it work out nicely.
Just a forewarning I'm not a fan of wings. I looked at alternate ways of making Tyranids flyable. I used the method of a beetle wings opening, and underneath I've modeled some random spar bits to look like organic thruster (devour ends, random sacks and what not). I don't have any pics at the moment uploaded so I'm not sure if my description helps any.
Wings just seem very flimsy from a perspective of a hulking beast. I essentially took the more insect route. Might be something to keep in mind as an alternative?
I plan on doing the same to any other flying Tyranid model I own.
Tyranid and Eldar player....don't ask me how I ended up playing these two armies, just smile, nod, slowly move away and don't make eye contact!
