Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm struggling between Ulthwé and Alaitoc. I just fell in love with rangers, I proxied them against a friend and they did wonders. Wonder what Pathfinders could do.
Now, I'm really tempted to make a craftworld army my first Eldar army and I'm starting to think Alaitoc might be the one. I know pathfinders are the 'thing', but I'd like to know what other units would be 'ideal' for the Alaitoc. I'll have a Farseer as HQ, since low model count needs re-rolls and 2 units of 5 Pathfinders as the core of my army. The trouble is forming the rest of the army. I thought I'd keep the aspect count to zero. So, maybe add some Vypers, War Walkers and Wraithlords? I'd like to hear your ideas, or advice if you're an Alaitoc player. The point limit would be 1000 points.
if your trying to keep it non aspest, go for storm guardians in wave serpents ,harlequins with shadowseer and the veil of tears power work really well in a alaitoc craftworld army,
i still really like craftworld armies and alaitoc can look amazing and i think would work great, lots of pathfinders and lots of guardian based vehicles would fit in fluff wise, also fluff wise fortuneseers, conceallocks (not so much in 5th ed now) and a coulle of maxed out harlie squads, good luck with the list hope to see it soon
I have an Alaitoc army at 2000pts and use 3 units of 6 pathfinders, 3 wraithlords and counter strike unit of harlequins (10)( in the codex the ragers of alaitoc have a loose alliance with the harlequins) and the shadowseer helps mitigate wraithsight if the farseer has to be elswhere ( I also incluse a death jester because I love the model and he enables the unit to contribute to the firepower and occasionally pins a unit as a bonus). I also use 2 units of warpspiders as they seem to fit with the theme of now you see me no you dont and they are very mobile disruption units. The bane of alaitoc lists are deep strikers / outflanking troops getting to your relatively immobile pathfinders and fast moving units with flamers. Having three wraithlords and 10 harlequins on the back line makes deep striking out flanking troops think twice and the two units of spiders can intercept and usually stop rhinos rushing forwards with flamer containing units, 22 S6 shots at BS 4/5 at their back armor usually eliminates them. Hope this is of some help good luck with the list.

If I recall correctly Alaitoc is one of the larger military craftworlds so aspects are fine in it. Harlies fit decently in them as they have more ties to them than other craftworlds. Most people look to build lists that scout, infiltrate, or deepstrike to represent alaitocs disruptive style of warfare. So warwalkers, scorpions, hawks, spiders all fit nicely. A waveserpent or two full of aspect warriors could easily represent the regular miltary forces moving forward to smash the disorganized remains of your opponent.
I agree with nakaruru, Alaitoc has a strict adherence to the eldar path and therefore would have aspect warriors in its forces. They would certainly would have units of dire avangers in their forces. In white dwarf 323 p82-3 in ths section on the dire avengers of the shrine of the falling moon it states that the dire avengers of alaitoc are vetrans of a protracted war against the imperium. hope this helps add some background and widens your selection of forces for your Alaitoc army.
As others have said no reason why Altioch should be aspectless & I think I would definitely include some infiltrating scorpion & harlequin elites as they fit really well.
A no aspect Altioch army probably needs to put emphasis on long ranged weapons:
5 units of 5 ranger (pathfinder toops) uses half your points & your HQ Farseer choice probably soaks up a further 100+ even without a warlock retinue so only 400 ish to fill:
Squad of 3 war walkers with 2 missile launchers each is around 200 and would benefit from the Farseer's guide if taken then Vypers / Falcons with missiles / bright lances to fill the ponts (remember to upgrade the shuriken catapults so that range is maximised).
As always opionions are just that.
