[LEFT]hey I'm jerone
I am a fanatic Tyranid player and I play a lot against necron,
because in my neighbourhood there are not realy a lot of people who play warhammer 40k and my friend collects necron so thats why I play a lot agains him.
in the past I've been beaten a several times.
a lot of games ended in massacre (for me)
maybe you guys have some tactics or army tips for me against him
we usely play between the 1000 and 1600 points
his army list:
1 necron lord (reserection orb)
30-40 warriors (three squads)
1 tomb spider
12 scarab swarms
1. Brood lord 0-1
4. Death Warriors
2. Rending Warriors
Adrenal Gland I/WS
1. Scything Warrior
Scything Talons 2X
Adrenal Gland I/WS
1. Venom Warrior
1. Barbed Warrior
18. (Scuttler) stealers
8 Uber stealers
5-6 Ripper Swarms
3. Toxin Mines
5. Frag Mines
3. Bio-acid Mines
1. Carnifexmagnetized every arm option is possible
my friend doesn't blame me for putting on every biomorph
so design your own carnifex (I have only one carnifex so I can't make things like a dakka fex)
I hope I will get some cool and usefull Tips to beat a necron player

Could you take away the points of the bare units? It's against the forum rules. Other than that, i'm afraid i can't help much.
Vampire Counts Progress Log [W:2 D:1 L:1]
I realize that you dont have all the models, but heres a general rundown of my 2k point list, which right now is 19-2-0.
HQ-Tyrant with 2 sets of Scything Talons, Acid Maw, both Adrenal Glands, Flesh Hooks, Implant Attack, Toxin Sacs, Wings and Warp Field.
Elite-2 Carnifexes, both with Enhanced Senses and 2 sets of Twin Linked Devourers
Troops-4 Units of 10 Genestealers with Scything Talons, Toxin Sacs, Extended Carapace and Feeder Tendrils.
Heavy-2 Carnifexes with Barbed Strangler and Venom Cannon with Bonded Exoskeleton, Enhanced Senses, Extended Carapace and Reinforced Chitin
Total 1985, now this is also prepping for an up and coming Rogue Trader. Now since you dont have the models, you can always ask if its ok if you proxy, I do it all the time proxy something to see if you like it that way you dont run out buy the model only to realize its not for you. This is also a 2000 point list so it alows you to tone it down.
The biggest tip I can give you against Necrons is that hopefully you get a descent set up or if nothing else if you go second, and hes spread out, lump everything in on 1 target and go to town. Because whats better than assaulting a single units of Warriors with say 30 Stealers and a Tyrant. This is the biggest one of all, and honestly it goes for everyone you play, control the assault and out number them at least 3-1. Also quick question about your list, who is with the Broodlord and your 'uber stealers', they cant have both acid maw and flesh hooks.

well I mostly put 7 to 11 genestealers with the broodlord
and about the uber stealers, I exedenty put acid maw and flesh hooks on them (I did not had the codex)
but it looks cool so there is no reason to cut of the flesh hooks.

You dont have to cut out the different mouth pieces, I used them all, but at the same time in the codex acid maw, flesh hooks and feeder tendrils all have an * with a note that they cant have both biomorphs. And as Ridell said the best way to kill Necrons is to phase them out. With the posted list that he uses, you just need to kill off 35 models. Granted his chances will increase with his rez orb, so serperate him more than 6" away from the Warriors so your genestealers rending hits and kills by a Fex or Tyrant in CC wont let them come back.

I don't see why you can't run a dakkafex. Those guys are amazing against high save enemies like Necrons. Also I would recommend only going with Bio-Acid spore mines if you're going to use them at all. Negating the save is very important, but with only 1 biovore I don't know that I would recommend it. I like the upgraded hormies as the most reliable way to take out 'cron units is to simply sweep them off the board. In CC there aren't many things in our army that can't take out enough to usually force a sweep.
Basic strategy use against 'crons is to simply hit him hard in CC. Once you get there it's incredibly hard for him to mount much of a defense when you start sweeping his warrior squads. If you want to shoot something focus fire on the C'Tan with any gun that has a chance of wounding him. If you can kill him before he pulls away from the other units you can make him a liability.
Note: If you want to try and hunt the Deceiver in CC (which is usually rather pointless) try IA on your Genestealers/Carnifex. Means he only has to fail two saves to die.

He ment he doesn't get 2 devourers in 1 set, so he doesn't have enough parts for the dakkafex
Proxy. Its the best way to try something out to see if you like it before you buy. On top of that I use the Death Spitter, mainly because it looks better. You can also get on ebay or thewarstore.com under the battlewagonbits section.
