Could someone tell me on what page of the Tyranid rulebook it says that tyranids in synapse are fearless and are therefor subject to 'no retreat.'
I see were it says that we automatically pass all leadership checks...but that wouldn't subject us to no retreat saves.
I am sure that I just missed it.
PS...I just checked the FAQ and it is not there.
They are not "fearless", but they automatically pass all leadership tests. If you look at page 44 of the main rule book, you'll see that No Retreat on close combat moral checks does not require fearless, but only that they automatically pass the leadership test.
The codex really might as well say "all Tyranids in synapse are fearless, and not subject to ID." as anything that works off of Fearless still works off synapse despite it specifically being Fearless. Just silliness on the part of the codex writer.
Not entirely, there are a few dark eldar items that work based on a failed LD test. So the Nid's pass these automatically.
Yo just never see these as for 1 they are DE and 2 they aren't very useful as they are based on a failed LD test which is normally pretty high.
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
Thank you all very much for your answers. Very helpful!
i was wondering this the other day because i thought the rulebook only stipulated that fearless units took 'no retreat' wounds, but if its units that automatically pass leadership tests, then dang...
So this means that: Gaunts, Horma and warriors are not fearless though they pass their LD? If so, that would be awesome in CC =)
