I'm pretty new to Orks, and i just bought the Assault on Black Reach set, and as you know it comes with a Warboss complete with a PK. I was thinking of converting a tyranid ripper into an attack squig for him, and it raises a couple questions.
Does the extra attack from the squig count as another PK attack, so the Warboss will have 5 attacks with the PK rather than 4.
And is it worth the extra points in your opinion?
First of all, welcome to the Waaagh! You'll find a lot of greenish wisdom for your army in here.
The question you raise has been asked many times before (ahh, those search tools ):
the squig doesn't attack, it's used as a distraction to let the WB make an additional attack with his PK. I find it a bit too pricey, 'cause Da Boss is already a powerhouse in close combat, but in larger games it is said to be useful.
Ork Latin Lover since 1980
I had the same ideaabout using a ripper , i thiunk i will now, I want to putit on a chain though. BTW welcome the the Waaaagh.
yes another mean green machine but yeah in the squigs profile it says +1 attack so yeah an extra pk attack
I put them on just because I love thinking of a squig chewing on the face of a space marine while he's torn in half by a PK. But I made the mistake of sculptng my own and now my Warboss cant standup strait. So use a Ripper, not Milliput.
I've got a 'counts as' attack squig on my 'boss. A couple of big ol' iron tusks that he uses to lay about him with.
