Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was wondering how I would go by making Gas mask heads for my boyz to make a cool conversion. I especially wanted to put these on my burna boyz.
You could use the respirators from the cadian command box. Your handy guard playing friend (assuming you have one) probably has some lying aroung unused.
There was a guy in an older WD who made custom gas masks for an IG army. It was basically green stuff over the head and than some respirator bits. He ran a some looped wire from the base of it to a backpack, looked really nice painted up.

I'd use Green Stuff.
Even if your modelling skills aren't the best, these are Orks. They don't have to look good. The more primative and cobbled together the better. If I were you I'd get go through pictures of old WW1 gas masks for inspiration.
maybe something like this?

Since they don't use air tanks I'd be easier to model and certainly look oOky.

There's only one man to turn to for orky conversions-
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Thanks for the ideas. I am probably go with the world war one design and but it on my elites (nobz, boss, burnas etc.)
I beleive that the ork face won`t be good for that kind of mask due to the size of its mouth.
But the wwI will be very good.
If You make it from GS, and don`t put so many blue part in it, You can remove it easily when You got bored with the mask.
Here are some pics. Darn they didn't show

The pictures haven't come up properly to use the image tags you need to upload them to photobucket or a similar site. Failing that, you could use the advanced mode and attach them as thumbnails.
