Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well i played at a torny the other day and heard alot of people desusing the nob biker list. My question for you guys is do you think it is over the top. I play competitive and for fun so i play a hard but fun list that gives my opponent a chance but dose not leave to many chances for him to make mistakes and i think that is the best kind of list to play something well rounded and fun. so is it over the top or not.
Nob Bikers are extremely one dimensional, so they either win big (rock vs scissors) or get roflstomped (rock vs paper). S8+ ordnance, tarpits, vehicles, and better assault units (TH/SS Termies) all make Nob Bikers cry. I don't even consider them all that good in a competitive environment considering how easy they are to counter.
Tell them to QQ less and play better.

Nob bikers have a lot of counters, and it hurts them way too much. Just think about all the melta spam armies, or any other armies with str8 weapons and/or AP1-2 weapons. Nob bikers will just die. Also bikers have a real hard time opening any Land raiders, and suffer heavily from any heavy flamers. Also if the enemy can prevent them from getting to the eggs (e.x. IG soldiers around the tanks), then they are dead, and because they are so expensive, you will lose.
I agree with the above posts. Nob bikers 'can' work very well, but there are plenty of lists out there that will make a terrible mockery out of them. Notably, the Imperial Guard, Eldar, and shooty Marine/Chaos Marine lists are their worst enemies.
Nob bikers are an effective unit, and a good addition to any speed freaks army, but if you're constructing your list mainly around them, then you're in for some incredibly overwhelming victories, and some horribly humiliating defeats.

Nob Bikers are extremely extremely good - a credible threat to any decent opponent.
But, as mentioned, only when used in conjunction with other elements of the Ork list such as Trukk Boys, Lootas and Battlewagons.

Quannum, funkin' out in every way. Since 1987.
What do you mean by a 2000pt NB list? Is it 2 biker warbosses, 2 big units of NB's and some troops to fill out the rest?
This type of list is very good. However, like everyone says, it's not the be-all-end-all of lists out there. It will, however, trounce probably 80% of all the other lists out there if played by a skilled player...at least until it comes up against the multi-Rune Priest-JotWW-space wolf lists that will be common in future tournies. Until then, it's got the durability, strength and speed to handle (dominate) most lists.
It's all good fun until somebody brings a couple Rhinos and totally shuts you down.
in my opinion, nob bikerz are way too cheesy, and is an easy option for lazy people who cant think of any strategies other than charging at the enemy and hoping that the strength 9 attacks will kill enough enemies. they are easy to counter, and will either win big or fail miserably. i suggest a couple of trukks with good old boyz, if u insist sticking to a speedy army.
It's time for the grot rebellion!
