    Destiny from SGU ... Necron?

I don't know about you but the minute I saw this spaceship I immedietely thought Necron.

Take into account the similarities in gate travel and what the monoliths use to transport units and I think it about sums it up.

Ancient tech has had a similarity to Necrons for a good chunk of the SG series. It doesn't surprise me that the Destiny might have look a little Necron, but so do a fair number of the other Ancient ships they've run across, so it isn't a surprise to anyone who's been watching for more than a few years.

Now that you mention it, it is very necronish, fully automated too, it has that dark feel to it unlike other Ancient technology.
