it says in the codex p33: "leaping creatures gain Fast Charge of 12inch "
But i can't find Fast Charge in the rulebook. Is it the fast assault of beasts? or do they move 12 inch like vehicles. If it's the assault move, the only reason the put both leaping and beasts with the hormagaunts is for the 3" engagement instead of 2"?
Youve got it pretty much right, hormaguants have a 12" charge as per beasts (and leaping) fall back 3d6 due to beasts, cant go up levels in a ruin (beasts) and can attack in CC from 3" away. But they only move 6" like stardard infantry
You are also missing an A in the quote which may be why your confused, as far as i know, there is no rule called "fast charge" but rather leaping creature gains "a fast(er) charge of 12"
Your friendly neighbourhood gargantuan creature
I do enjoy this about the Hormagaunts and heirodule is right haha. I leave grammar out and i almost got in trouble for it. So make sure to watch the little little bits of grammer, but yea you've pretty much got it about the Hormogaunts.
If there was ever a Fleet to be Afraid of...
Hive fleet Dread Walker is it...
Yes i missed an a in the quote but because fast charge is in capital letters i thought it was an abilitie like Furious Charge or something.
But thanks both of you
Also all beasts and cavalry have fleet, raising a hormaguants effective range to 19-24"
The beast part gives you fleet like they are saying, unlike leaping warriors who can only move and charge or move and run. beasts can move run and charge
One unfortunate thing about beast is that you are not allowed to get on the second level of a building for some reason. it might make sense for a calvary but the bugs should just crawl up the wall or something.
if you give a hormagaunt flesh hooks since it makes vertical terrrain count as difficult rather than impassable could you get them onto higher levels?
