I don't really see the heavy VC on the carnifex as it becomes so expensieve for a sinlge str 9 blast that might just scatter of a tank.
For taking busting there are now much easier and cheaper ways of doing that.
Or a Tfex...
"Better to crush an ant with a boulder, than flick lazily at it, possibly miss, and then have it bite you in the ass." The Awakened One
True, but I'm not yet fully convinced if the Tyrannofex will be good pick, it does have some pro's but still only BS3 does hurt when your realying on it take down those tanks.
I'd rather take a Tyrannofex if i wanted some long range AT actually, I only see the Carnifex used in sporepods with bioplasma or devourers.
"I have seen you humans, trying to forge an Empire in the name of a corpse"
The blast has a huge chance of scattering of a tank I think and so isn't that good. Also it's AP won't bother MEQ's much and isn't that useful for it's price against other models. A big barbed strangler (I forgot the new name) will work better overall if you want a big long ranged gun on a Carnifex, it's more likely to hit more models. Use bioplasma to sick up nastier death at close range with a melee-fex.
