Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was just reading through the codex and found something a little disconcerting. I don't think fearless has us autopassing IB anymore. For reference check out the Ripper Swarm entry. They are fearless, yet Mindless has them losing wounds "When they fail an IB test".
I don't know how big an impact this might have, but with the lowering of a lot of our Ld values, Carnifexes and some of our other MC's can't be relied on to keep doing what they are supposed to outside of synapse any longer. Just something I thought I would bring up. Please bring forward the counter-arguments, but try and stick to our current codex only, for references.
Yes, fearless no longer means you don't need to roll for IB. This, however, seems clearly to be the intent. But now that you mention it, it's probably worth adding to the FAQ.
Hmm. Fearless has us "pass all Morale and Pinning tests they are required to take, and will never fall back" - page 75, BRB
Instinctive behaviour, if I am not correct, is based on Leadership tests, which are differant to Morale...
Looks like fearless units can not auto-pass IB.

At least failing IB no longer means you fall back. Killing Synapse in some old armies used to be GG, but not so much now.
That's probably why they introduced the new IB rules. It's now easier to make 'nids fall back on their instincts, but those instincts aren't exactly terrible any more. Most of the gribblies are still going to at least attack something, even if it's not what you originally had in mind.
