Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just thought i would share this to show how good the new book is.
I played my IG friend last week 2000 point game using my deep strike / outflank list and smashed his face in with 1700 points to spare just to find out today whilst adding his list up that he actually had 2500 points!!! I couldn't help but laugh in a slightly evil way
New nids are horribly too good.
I ate my friends FW/ nurgle list losing just a tryon and 4 stealers.
What's worse his was a working tournament list and mine was whatever random crap i could find.
They seem fairly balanced in my opinion. If seem several games and played against a nid list myself. Win-Loss ratio has stayed darn near the 50-50 mark. I guess it'll vary from place to place, though.
By the way, grats on the win. That's freakin' awesome! <-(This one's on me, you've earned it)
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.

Thanks Boss, I'll enjoy it
The new 'nids will eat anybody not Space Wolves (and possibly neo-Blood Angels when they arrive) that is playing a foot-centric army list, simple as that.
'Nids aren't overpowered in the least. But if people refuse to play mechanized against 'nids ... they're just gonna lose. 5th edition 40K makes mechanization one of the strongest styles to play ... and GW wants to sell us models. Coincidence? I think not.
I think the new 'nids are sent to us from GW as a message: "Get with the program!"
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

They're more balanced and much improved, but they're far from over-powering. They have certain builds that work well against certain armies - i.e. your deepstriking/outflanking list is effective against guards and tau - but that same list won't work as well against other armies equipped to deal with deep-striking lists or who deploy smartly or with hammer lists (dare you to drop into a marine list with assault terminator-heavy, dual-lash chaos, the green tide, nob bikers or any rune priest/long fang-spam space wolf list). They're still new, but in time the awe against the nids will wear off as people become more experienced in dealing with them.

It's some fun times with those nids, as I have been playing guard lately, I've had to watch out for that dirty out flank lately. The outflank really hurts guard because usually given a turn they might be able to hold off a deep strike in a certain place, even a bold rough rider counter charge usually can't stop those genestealers, unless i only fired 5shots and not six shot but that's another story all together.
Isn't That Just Peachey
yesterday i saw a guard player get decimated by 2 genstealers squads, some ri[[ers, a biovore and the doom of malant'ai, the guard player got snnihilated and the tyranid player lost half (not bad when there was a leman and demolisher on the table)
OP: i dunno, i perosnally really like them, especially the actuall models and the statline, as soon is i can, im having 3 in a squad!!!
