Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was just wondering if other people are bothered by Hive commander and Pheromone trail abilities forcing you to take the +1 on reserve rolls? I often don't want my outflanking stealers until the third or fourth turn so that they have to either leave units back to defend for a longer time, or leave their heavy support open to assault from the sides. I really miss the days of re-roll one unit, and would love the hive commander if it were either add or subtract one from your reserve roll...then the subterranean assault rule would be awesome for the Trygon, you could try hard to get him in quickly, while slowing down your gaunts to walk out the hole on the next turn when you give them a +1 instead of no bonus (or better yet a -1).
I am just bothered that I am forced to get my units on the table faster...I want to use my commanding ability to tell my troops to show up when I need them, not a turn earlier.
You do realize that you can CHOOSE when to bring them in, then roll to see if they do, right?
Or can you? I dont have my rulebook with me at the moment, but im pretty sure thats how it works, I never checked because with my tyranid lists I usually want all of my reserves in on turn 2!
