My hormagaunts took down the nightbringer! Toxin sacs ftw!!!!
--Famous last words of Asmodean
I always have to deal with a deceiver. I don't know if the night bringer can run out of a combat, because that's the main reason I can't bring down the deceiver.
your opponent must have been really shokked.
i tried to use them for the very same reason in the last 2 games vs necrons. but they never actually got into assault as all my deepstriking flyrant, trygon, morgon and my carnifex (in a spore) arrived in turn 2, and each wiped the floor with a unit of warriors. aaaaand.... phase out.
Excellent, show that grubby old Star-god he's just food just like everybody else! If the Deciever won't die because he runs for the hills when you assault him then I think he's not too much of a problem, if he's running away all the time the threat of him is much less.
Big types like him are now easy prey for us with new and improved toxin sacs. Though I must note to beware Greater Daemons as with those things often having such high WS hitting them actually becomes a problem. However crawling all over them in huge numbers may solve that problem.

My Gargolyes got charged by a fex, and still slapped it down before it could attack. The then charged another one next turn and slapped that one down too!.
Wow them gargoyles sure made up for their points!
I think that the Toxin Sac upgrade is AWSOME for the low S troops. I am definaty having it on my fast troops, gargoyles and Hormagaunts to be specific

Well Im loving Gargoyles. Get em in range of a Tyrant with Old adversary and they are leathal. 20 took a charge from 30 boys and while they did go splat, they did kill 16 of em. Thats impressive!
