Hi, I'm new, so don't yell at me too much
I would like to know, how the Tau can take down Monstrous Creatures effectively?
Depends entirely on which. With certain monstrous creatures. such as Daemon Princes (Without MoT), Carnifexes, and the like, Railguns are your best bet, as they will bypass the Armour save, and they generally have a bad, or no, invulnerable save to fall back on. Or Battlesuits with Plasma Guns and/or Fusion Blasters.
Others, such as Greater Daemons, and TMCs with Warp Field, have a good Invulnerable save, and so weight of fire will probably be the way to go. Your fire warriors with S5 weapons should be able to lay down enough fire to cause this, as will Gun Drones.
Basically, anti tank weapons can take down Monstrous Creatures too.

Fenrir: and magic.

Load up your crisis suits with plasma and missiles. Fill your heavy support with broadsides and railheads. Have a unit or two of pathfinders on hand to help you out.
Obviously, you have to be judicious and consistent with your target priority. Don't stop shooting at a monster you want dead until it actually is dead! A surprising number of players don't exercise proper fire discipline. This is a skill that is absolutely necessary to winning with Tau against anybody, MCs or no MCs.
But the big thing is that your army must be bristling with as many high strength/low AP weapons as you can pack in. Crisis suits and our heavies are the only places in the army list to get them ... so get them! And don't scrimp and save ... buy them. Your offense will love your for it.
See my tactica (linked in my sig) for example army builds.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Railguns because only zoans have invul saves so MC's like trygons and tyrants won't get their saves. You just got to hit and make a 2+ to wound roll
WH 40k Armies (W/L/D):
Tyranid: 2250 Points of Awesome (5/4/1)
Necrons: 1000 Points (4/0/1)
I break my MC's into 3 groups
Weapons: Ion cannon, railgun, fusion, plasma, neutron blaster
Weapon: Railgun, fusion, plasma
Godd Invul save
Weapons: Missile pods, Ion cannon, pulse rifles

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Thanks for the quick, and useful, replies.
