Hi, im new to tau and noticed when reading that i could give my fire warrior leader a hard wired multi tracker, thinking i could fire the marker light and his pulse carbine each turn
on closer inspection though a multi tracker allows you to fire an additional battle suit weapon system, so does this mean i cant fire 2 weapons?
if thats true why can i give him the option of usless wargear?
am i missing something obvious??
thanks in advance

Fantasy : Empire, Chaos Warriors, Chaos Daemons, Vampire Counts, Beastmen, High Elves, Lizardmen( but i have opinions on every army just not the money)
40k: Black Templars, Imperial Guard, Dark Eldar, Tau (thinking of Eldar)
I always thought that a multi-tracker could let you do that. After re-reading the armoury now I'm not too sure. Seems strange that they would put a multi-tracker in the infantry wargear section.
I can only think of two reasons why this situation may have come up. Either they accidentally put the multi-tracker in the infantry section (less likely, I think), or they simply forgot to put a new definition in the infantry section. The vehicle section has its own definitions for those things, so I think its only right that they would have redefined everything stated in the infantry section.
Maybe they didn't reread the definition when writing the book? I suggest simply ignoring it because of this, though I wouldn't blame you if you simply used it the way you assumed in the first place.
it allows the fire warrior to fire both the marker light and his weapon (hopefully pulse rifle). it states in the infantry armoury that you can fire two weapons from one infantry model.
There are three kinds of people in this world, those who can count and those who cannot.
Seems that Riki's word is final here.
I reached the same conclusion - Multi-tracker allows Battlesuits or Vehicles to fire differently, no mention of infantry models. A pointless upgrade. I figure multi-trackers affect mechanical systems rather than the actual Tau - there's only so much one chap can do. Consider it yet another misprint (you would think GW would read over these things before slapping out thousands of prints!) and move on with life!
