For the points (regen included) which do you prefer?
There are some similarities:
Both Hq (synapes)
Both shooty (similar range)
Both can DS (but flyrant can move further)
Each has its place...
but if you had to choose?
Dakka flyrant...for ever.
he absolutly destroys infantry and rear armour, and he takes on elite units such as terminators easily.
Do you feel the point vs ability reward is there?
are you getting more for your points?
Trygon prime has a lot of dakka and is a MC in cc too...
Yea I know, and depending on the enemy trygons will probably do better with six wounds, ive just found that withou a couple of tyrants deepstriking is too unreliable, therefore I will always choose a tyrant first, a trygon afterwards.
Why choose? Use both. They don't do the same thing, after all.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
RIP Warhammer 40,000: 21 Sep 1998 - 24 May 2014
If you decide to DS both which do you think would have the more effective shooting attack?
(if they both landed with minimal scatter)
I don't think anything with wings in the tyranid army can deep strike as the rules state, "models equiped with wings move in the same way as jump infantry". It doesn't mention that they count as jump infantry
That is just stupid. If they didnt want tyranids with wings to deepstrike they would have stated it last edition.
Yea well fortunatly cruddace the bum wrote our codex, personally, I think that they should deepstrike, so my club allows it.
