As the title says: Does Yriel's Eye of Wrath hit your own models under the template as well as the enemy's?The codex does specifically state that Yriel himself is not affected, but it seems kinda odd that they would have him blow up any unit he was a part of as well as the unit he was attacking. I couldn't find any clarification in any FAQs, either.
"All models under the template..... " not much else to say....

This is why most people attach him to another squad and then he moves into combat on his own, he should be able to charge, survive counterattacks, then unleash the EYE! Wiping out his opponent, especially if they commit more forces to the fight.
Yeah it hits everyone - but that guy is an ABSOLUTE STEAL for his points(I blame his 'doomed' rule, it used to ensure at least a 50% chance that half his VP's went to your opponent possibly all but now we are in 5th ed and for me he's either at full wounds at the end of the game or dead).
So yeah friendly fire is his like one draw back but he is sooo overpowered it's not even funny... i have a batrep of him going through a Grey Knight BrotherCaptain, like 7 plague marines, Typhus - fricken herald of nurgle, and then 2 more grey knights and a Justicar holding an objective last round lol! Didn't even have him fortuned that game..!
Watch out for instakill!!
You call that a Lazer-eye Yarrick?? Raaa LIGHTNING TEMPEST!!! TREMBLE BEFORE MY WRATH!!! Now i'll destroy everything I touch with my insane WS, I, A, and the freakin Spear of Twilight!!!
Alright, thanks guys. That clears things up for me. And that was quite an entertaining post, Faris...
