I'm not sure there is a better place to post but any of you guys know how I could convert warriors with rifles so that i get blasters or Dark Lance? I'm a little tight on my budget and I'm missing some Dark Lances models and blaster models.
If its not the right forum anyone could redirect me?
For blasters, you can just lop of the end of the rifle and replace it with anything that looks sort of right. It will take a bit of reshaping, usually.
I have 4 DL warrior models, but when that's not enough, I will just call a splinter cannon a DL and let my opponent know before the game. I have heard tell of some players cutting the blade off the SC and putting it up on the warrior's shoulder, and I imagine that works fairly well if you reshape the arms.

Well you could get Dark Lances from a left over Ravager bits and especially so when most players seem to use only the Disintergrators on them.
Bright Lances from Eldar sprue works well as does Dark Elves cavalry Lances.
If you have enough you could join together two Splinter Cannon barrels together to make a longer barrel and thus a Lance.
For the Blaster, just use a small plastic bead with the thread hole as the bore and stick it on the end of any gun - instant Blaster!
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
I've made a mold using wych blaster.
It didn't come out perfect - but it's quite passable. And it really wasn't too hard to make.
Really, darling, you must not squirm so. It spoils the overall effect.
thanks all for the replies really helpful
I've been trying to get dark lances from splinter cannons
it's hard to get it on their shoulderss and make them look right holding it
far more diffcult that I imagined it would be.
I've convereted a number of dark lances from splinter cannons.
1) Take a warrior with a splinter cannon, cut the cannon off at the base of the barrel, right to the side of where his left hand hold comes out.
2) Cut the barrel off of a raider/ravager dak lance (raider ones are easier because they're plastic).
3) Glue it togeather.
Since the splinter canon and dark lance have nearly identical bodies this conversion looks great, and it looks better than the guy standing with a lance on his shoulder.

I simply used the cannon, cutted a spare bits of riffle with a tad of green stuff and it,s all good but it's still held from under which isn,t that bad... also the blade is taken out
I made dark lances by filing off the side spikes from splinter canons, cutting off the blades, and sticking part of a spare splinter canon onto the end. I made 2 this way. Doesnt look amazing because they dont have them held of the shoulder, but it doesnt look disastrous, and my oponents know they are dark lances and not splinter canons.
