What's the use of having the ability to wound automatically at a "6"? Am I missing something, or is there hardly anything that strong out there in 40K to make this weapon effect worth while?
Warriors can make wounds on WraithLords, C´tan and some model with thoughness 8 or more ... Are there some Demon with toughness 8?
all models with gauss weapons can wound anything in the warhammer universe, that's pretty useful if you ask me
"I have seen you humans, trying to forge an Empire in the name of a corpse"
being able to glance enemy veichels is useful, its saved my a many games

When rolling to wound with a gauss weapon, of 6 will wound regardless of toughness. This doesn't neccessarily ignore armour saves.
6's also cause glancing hits on vehicle regardless of armour (unless you'd normally cause a penetrating hit).
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
You can wound ANYTHING. Even things with T8, Land Raiders, etc...
Question: Can Gauss weaponry do superficial damage against a Monolith? The rule states that weapons that count the armor as something other than it is loose their ability against Monoliths.
gauss weapons still glance on a 6 against monoliths. gauss weaponry doesnt count enemy armor as a lower value. the armor is still whatever its supposed to be. monoliths only take away from things like eldar bright lances, which count armor values of 14 as 12.
I killed a Chaos Land Raider last night with a squad of my warriors. Doing this probably saved my tail.
can gauss weapon glance wound a bunker on a "6" ??
Sure, bunkers are essentially immobilized vehicles.
Ze titles yez...
